Saw a 3 room 80 sqm apartment at Oesterbro this evening. Very nice, beautiful maintained, but too low to the ceiling. I need 240 cm for my closet and for my bookcases. Sunday I saw a 2 room 62 sqm apartment in Ryparken, which unfortunately was too small. And last thursday I saw a 3 room 85 sqm apartment also at Oesterbro, which was nice and in which my stuff would fit. We were 7 people who saw it, and I and one other wanted the apartment. Unfortunately this other person was higher ranking on the waiting list than I, so I was not offered the apartment. I maintain a positive and optimistic spirit, I know that the apartments are out there - it's just a matter of time. And till then I luckily still have my good old 2 room 58 sqm rented apartment, in which I lived from August 2000 till March 2002 before I went to Germany. The current subrenter moves out 1st of April, where I then move in. Unless I find a super nice, bigger apartment before then.

Saw the Last Samurai in Palladium. Cool. But too much Kevin Costner Dancing with Wolves over it.

The washing machines at Spaniensgade are free to use, but there're only two of them, and they are in use constantly, and booked for the next two weeks. Unless one wants to get up and do laundry very early in the morning. So I did laundry from 07 til 08 today and my clothes were dry enough till I could wear them around 9 when I went to work.

Otherwise it has been some long days the last week. It's a bit like deja-vu: When I left the company back in March 2002 I was working with the exact same machines as I'm working with now, facing the exact same problems trying to figure out why the machines loose their disks, or why they only see the disks through one adapter, or why only half or less of the paths provided from each HBA through the SAN to the cabinet and the disk are available. The version number of the drivers is a little larger, but otherwise nothing has changed in two years. The back-then onsite Compaq technician is now an HP technician.

I'm happy we're not running a 24/7 business. Most of our systems are only in use from 7 till 22 (when Customer Service is open), so we can do maintenance after 2200. Maybe I should start showing up for work at 17 in the afternoon from now on.
