Left work early in order to be able to show up at Aquasport's in Store Kongensgade. Here we packed the equipment and took off at 1730 towards Lynettehavnen. From here we spend the next hour or so scuba diving in the nice 16 DEG C warm water. I have been diving quite many times in Denmark, near Copenhagen, but this is the nicest place I have been. It is easy to get to the water, and there is plenty to see while submerged - also the construction of the harbour makes it easy to navigate. Unfortunately I was carrying to much lead, so I had a hard time adjusting the buoyancy while swimming in shallow waters. Home again at 21.

Got up at 07:40, and met Niels with Linus and Anton at Central Station at 8:40. Took bus 6A to Copenhagen Zoo, where we then spent the next 4 hours. The boys liked the most the monkeys, the bears (we're in the process of booking tickets for Svalbard next summer. Today was maybe the last time we saw the polar bears at a safe distance. Next time could be at point blank, 5 meters away, bears fast approaching!), the penguins, and the goats (the latter a bit scary to begin with, though). Anton almost managed to run away while he and Linus were supposed to be playing at the playground. Fortunately a kind lady spotted him and prevented him from escaping farther away, before Niels came to the rescue. Maybe they should put up a warning sign about the playground having more than one exit.

With the weather being excellent, and the kids sleeping, we had lunch (5 tapas, 98 DKK) at Cafe Apropos at Halmtorvet. I took bus 250S home around 13:30.

Enduring Love by Ian McEwan (Atonement, the Child in time, the Cement garden etc) has been made into a movie. Trailer at Apple/quicktime. I really liked the book, and will definately see the movie.

Saturday. 16 DEG C, some rain, some sun. Fakta (1 minute on foot from here) has nothing I want to buy, so I took the bus to Irma (Amagercentret) which has a good selection of ecological food. 4 different brands of sugar, for example. Which I needed for my pancakes.

Blogradiofest paa Foley's. Jeg har ikke nogen weblog (dette er en online dagbog!), og jeg kendte ikke nogen af deltagerne. Men det var da meget skaegt. Fik sat ansigter paa et par navne.

Around six o'clock the wind decreased, so Per and I decided to try our luck in Boerge's 22 feet sailboat. We took off from Lynettehavnen around half past six, and cruised back and forth between the harbour and the island of Flakfortet - nice weather, and with the average wind speed still between 7 and 8 m/s, and waves splashing over the boat regularly, my new foul weather jacket was put to good use. Fresh to hard wind is good for fast sailing - we did easily between 6 and 7 knots (which is fast in a 22 feet boat). Were back in harbour just around sunset.

Went with Per to Claus V. Hansen's Eftf. to look at sailing clothing. Ended up with Musto Breathable Inshore jacket and trousers. Nice. Lunch at vegetarian "Den Groenne Kaelder" in Pilestraede afterwards.

Jose used a hangover as excuse and Brian was visiting the family in Jutland, so I did two hours of all-round workout in SATS by myself between 17 and 19.

I was supposed to have gone sailing with Per today, but there was too little wind. Tomorrow the 15th I was supposed to go scuba diving with co-workers from Orange, but I was informed this afternoon, that that has been cancled as well because of too much wind tomorrow, according to the weather forecast! Bummer. Of course this saves me some trouble, since I would probably have had to skip the diving anyway, because I had forgotten that I have the Unix on-call duty this weekend. Oh well.

So I surfed the net, went shopping, washed the dishes, ate, drank a beer in the garden while reading a few chapters in Midnight's Children (slowly making progress...), and this evening I saw Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 911 in Palladium with Erik and Per.

Went to Malmo with Lars and Bernard to visit Niels. Had the pleasure of reading bedtime story for Linus and Anton, while Niels, Lars, and Bernard went to rent videos... I think the boys prefer having their father read for them... Saw some French splatter movie, Swedish subtitles...

Gym with Brian. That went super! 110 kg in sitting bench press (machine press). 80 kg in sitting deltoids press.

It's 22:10 and the temperature in my apartment is 28 DEG C...

Gym with Jesper in SATS@amager. I now weigh more than 80 kg (80.1 kg to be exact). That's the most I have ever weighed. 85 or something would be fine. Maybe if I ate a bit more regularly (and healthier).

Jens and Olga got married yesterday afternoon at 16:30 in Middelfart Church. Finished wrapping in the wedding present at 13:30, I just managed to reach the 2 o'clock IC train (506 DKK, both ways) towards Middelfart where I arrived 15:57. A delight to meet a handfull of friends and x-colleagues from Darmstadt, who had driven up in order to join the celebration. 7 nationalities were there: Jens' family and friends from Denmark, Olga's family and friends from Ukraine, and ESOC collegaues from England, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Holland. The party afterwards was held at Middelfart Feriecenter (Oddevejen 8), from which I took a taxi to the trainstation (70 DKK) at 03 - and the train back home at 03:20. Home in my apartment at 06:00 Sunday morning. Now I just need a few hours sleep. Please don't distrub till after noon.

Waterskiing and BBQ with Orange club 5-9 at Amager Strandpark. Super weather, nice people, food, beer. I never made it from sitting to standing position on the skies, however. But funny it was.

Went to the gym for the 4th day in a row, this time with Jesper, who has one week's free training in SATS@parken.

Servio, Jose, Brian, and I had lunch at SUN in Naerum, north of Copenhagen today, followed by a few hours chatting about their product line, new hardware coming up, new features in Solaris 10, etc.

Gym with Jose from 13 to 15, then went to Bellevue beach with Lars and Julian and a sportsbag full of beers. Got halfway through Last Samurai. Nice weather.
