Important to mention that I thought I could no longer speak German - but it came back to me very fast, and while quite bad it was at least still fluent.

Spent the evening in Malmo at Niels and Anna's. 18:33 from CPH. Had dinner and saw Kill Bill vol 1 on video. Took bus number 14 21:57 from Velandergatan, train 21:13 from Malmo Syd, arrival 22:25 in CPH.

So, Jens picked me up in Fraport and drove me to Bensheim from where I took a taxi (since we had no idea how to find the church ourselves) the last kilometer to Sct. Laurentius church - arrived 5 minutes before the wedding started. Wonderful weather, sunny and warm. At the church I also met Roland (Hausmeister from the Kiesstrasse 24 Wohunung), so we sat through the ceremony - quite different from Danish church weddings (not that I'm that experienced with these, though) - for example there was a rockband, and many of the guests were delivering small speeches etc. It all took a couple of hours, and then we drove to Schloss Heiligenberg a few kilometers away where we were served enourmous amounts of cake, beer, wine, food, interrupted by various forms of entertainment, music, ballroom dancing (my skills in this noble art are non-existing, unfortunately, but the Germans like it and do it well) - since I at this point in time had not been sleeping for 40 hours I was quite tired, and hitched a ride home to Darmstadt where I arrived at Elisabethenstrasse at Jens and Olga's at 03:00. Slept till 10:15, had a shower and breakfast, whereafter they drove me to Fraport, from where I caught the 12:45 SAS flight to Copenhagen. It's now 15:10 and I'm home after a nice weekend with good friends but too much travel and too little sleep.

Friday I left work at 15, had time enough to iron a shirt, before catching S-bus 250 towards Kastrup. Here I took the train with Niels and Lars, and we arrived in Laholm around 18. Had beer and schnaps with Anna and Niels and associates in Mellbystrand till 03, where I took a taxi to the Euro-Stop near Halmstad (360 SEK). Then the Swe-bus at 03:45 (195 SEK) to Copenhagen, where I just arrived 06:00 (one hour ago). At 09:10 I'm catching the SAS flight to Frankfurt for the wedding at 13:30 in Bensheim. Tight schedule. Be back tomorrow Sunday afternoon.

Midsummer. From now on it'll only get colder, darker, the days shorter, and more rainy. Sucks. This is the worst summer I can remember. Went lifting with Brian and Kimmo from 1630 to 18, and had beers with Jes at Noerrebro Bryghus from 20 to 22.

I want to see: I, Robot; Spider-Man 2; Alien vs Predator (yeah!!); Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. Check the trailers at Apple Quicktime.

Shopping for new shoelaces (black, 75 cm, 16 DKK in Magasin), books (Woolf: Carlyle's House, Coelho: Veronica decides to die, Pynchon: The crying lot of 49, Ib Michael: Kejserens atlas), whisky (a 14-year-old Oban), wedding present for Dani and Markus (sorry, not to be revealed here, yet).

Weather: 14 DEG C, raining.

Played Battlefield Vietnam in Boomtown with EMC and colleagues from Platform Support. The first hour was spent learning how to control the units (flying helicopter was especially difficult), the last hour I could actually fight back. No chance, of course, against those guys who practically spent their entire youth these places. Afterwards dinner and beers at Bryggeriet near Tivoli.

22 DEC C, sunny. Voted.

I no longer pay the lease for the apartment in Darmstadt. Last month I paid for was May. Booked tickets for the 26th/27th CPH-FRA and back.

I very seldom get hangovers, but I was still quite happy that supervision didn't call me before noon and not already at 9 when my duty started. Was some machine which no longer responded, but I'm quite certain it's not one of ours... so Somebody Else's Problem. I don't have a headache, but I'm quite tired and am just passing the day doing the dishes, doing laundry, polishing shoes, ironing shirts. Reading a bit.

Orange Denmark's birthday, celebrated with a sports day event at the fields of Kloevermarken, just west of the HQ. 14 to 17 we (some 200 employees) competed in games like football, volleyball, archery, tug-of-war, fenching, kite flying, frisbee throwing etc etc - the weather was part sunny, part raining cats and dogs, but it was great fun to be together with the colleagues in a non-work related way. At 19 we assembled in the canteen, and had dinner together (free drinks, beer, wine), followed by chatting, playing table football, music, and dancing till we were kicked out at 02. After a drink and a hotdog in the city centre I took the metro home, and slept at 04 or something.

Monday was public holiday, so I stayed home and vacuum cleaned and washed the dishes and read books while my parents visited some relatives. At 19 the three of us had dinner with Jes and Gitte. Today Tuesday I have been working on the MMS project. And I donated blood (6th time, 8.6 percent). Tonight we're moving Orange primary internet facing mail gateway one meter to the left, from an old rack to a new SUN rack. Please don't send any emails while this is going on...
