Today they have promised it will be 21 degrees. Nice. Woke early (7:15). Showered, had breakfast (Yoghurt with chocolate müsli, homebaked bread with butter and cheese), and took Strassenbahn number 3 to Hauptbahnhof, where I got myself a new haircut for 16,50 EUR. Was at work at 9:05.
Ran a nice 6 km including the hill in excellent weather! Short pants and tshirt for the first time this year (at this lattitude).
My Amazon-order has been shipped!

Today it's one year since I moved to Germany. Time flies.
Added new subkey to my GnuPG keyring. Please update or you will not be able to send me encrypted email.

Saw Adaptation with Nicholas Cage in the Turm in Frankfurt together with Chris and Lucy. A bit like Magnolia. Both it's about flowers, and it's about nothing... Recommended.

Went past HiFi-Profis in Grafenstrasse to have a look at the B&W CM2 loudspeakers. They sound really nice and they are easier to place than my current B&W 600-series speakers. A little less than 500 EUR each. Though, when I came home I actually managed to squeeze in the old ones in the free space between my bookshelves and the walls on both sides. I would still like new speakers, but it will work with the current setup. So I save a 1000 EUR.
Placed a 265,45 EUR order with Amazon.de. That should keep me entertained for a couple of weeks.

Ran 6 km in the lunch break with Steve and David in okay pace. Didn't do the hills. Warm weather, cloudy, but no rain.
Bought a Water Pik Sonic Speed electronic toothbrush from Intersanté. Interesting name. Apparently they didn't check this web page dealing with how you should name your (in that case) business (Check question 7: What are the foreign language implications of the name?)...

Maximum 15 DEC C at the Bergstrasse. Some rain. I didn't have enough cash for the tram ticket, so I had to walk to work this morning. 30 minutes in light rain.
Booked a trip to Denmark in April See my (new) Travelpage.

Saturday. 14 DEG C, no wind.
Went shopping: a pair of headphones so I can hear netradio in the office without disturbing Keith, a bottle of whisky for those long summer evenings at the balcony, Moby Dick by Melville (also for those long summer evenings), Paul Auster's True tales of American Life.
Attended Markus and Dani's engagement party. Gave them Umberto Eco's Focault's Pendulum and Robert M. Pirsig's Zen and the art of ... in German.

The wave finally hit me, and I have been upgrading Sendmail non-stop for the last couple of days now. Today was long and painfull. Thank goodness the people who were drilling and hammering and I don't know what in the office next door, apparently were told not to, because there has been peacefully quiet today. Came in at half past 8, and now it's some 14 hours later and I will go home and catch a few hours sleep. Didn't get to the gym, and didn't go running. Maybe I'll do that Sunday. Didn't go shopping either - and that's quite bad, because I have no food at home. Maybe I should pay the machine downstairs a visit before I leave...
